Cable Master is a premium cable solution of quality power cables, communications cables, fibre optic cables, connectors, accessories for electrical and communications use. We offer design and manufacture solutions for a range of industries including data comms, mining, oil & gas, industrial automation, water, material handling and energy infrastructure sectors.

All our cables are covered by 25-year warranty.

CABLEMASTER factories are certified ISO9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004 manufacturers. In order to deliver quality products, every little detail counts. We pay attention throughout the whole production flow from performing incoming Quality Check on all incoming raw materials, to inspecting on every production phase by our QC team, to the final Outgoing Quality we employ sophisticated machineries in processes including copper rod drawing, thermoplastic compound mixing, physical dielectric foaming, high-speed braiding, multiple core assemble thermoplastic extrusion. Our team of knowledgeable technical engineer’s teamed with high-end testing equipment ensures our products are top-notch. We guarantee our products meet customer’s requirements by carrying out in-house physical tests such as ageing, bending, flame retarding, smoke density, water penetration, abrasion, extreme temperature, etc. For electrical requirements, our products are tested with a variety of equipment’s including an advanced Agilent Network Analyser E5071C (up to 8.5GHz) and Agilent Time-Domain Reflectometer 86100C. All of our products meet the EU RoHS and REACH environmental regulations since 2004. To ensure our products comply with Australian and NZ standards we use TUV Rheinland and SAA Approvals to independently test our cables.

The CABLEMASTER Team are fully committed to excellent service, quality product and competitive pricing we are able to achieve this through the long term relationships in our supply channel. Many were established in the early 1980’s.

Our qualified engineers are in close contact with experts around the world to identify market trends and product developments so that we can provide better value engineering consultation to our business partners

What are the differences between CAT6, CAT6e, and CAT6A?

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) introduced two performance standards; Category 6 (CAT6) and Category 6A (CAT6A). However, there is no CAT6e standard.

CAT6

TIA’s CAT6 standard sets the bar for CAT6 cables and connectivity. The data transmission must perform above the TIA limit for up to 250MHz. The cable can extend up to 100 meters and transfer data at a maximum data rate of 1Gbps (1000-BASE-T).

CAT6e

CAT6e is not an actual standard. It has not been implemented or qualified by the TIA or any other reputable organization or commission. CAT6e is incomparable to CAT6 because the standard technically does not exist. A correct comparison would be between CAT6 and CAT6A. CAT6 is the original version, while CAT6A is the advanced version.
Although CAT6e is not technically a recognized standard, some manufacturers still manufacture products labelled with the CAT6e classification. For their purposes, CAT6e means CAT6 “enhanced”. It indicates enhancements of the original CAT6 specification that exceed the TIA limit. Typically, CAT6e claims to: double transmission frequency from 250MHz to 500MHz or even 550MHz; be equipped with a grounded foil shielding that helps data transmission reach up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet; and extend to a maximum length of 100 meters.

CAT6A

Another version of the CAT6 standard is available; it is labelled as CAT6A and is considered an advancement of CAT6. TIA set the limit at 500MHz, which is double the CAT6 standard. The CAT6A cable can extend up to 100 meters and transfer data at a maximum data rate of 10Gbps (10GBASE-T).
