Lockwood

Lockwood has been a fixture of Australian door hardware since 1934, originating with Ogden Industries before being brought into the ASSA ABLOY group. It remains one of the most widely specified and stocked lock brands in the Australian market, covering mechanical deadbolts, mortice locks, cylinder and lever hardware, padlocks and door furniture, plus electronic and electric locking products used on access-controlled doors.

For an integrator, Lockwood's value is less about cutting-edge electronics and more about ubiquity and compliance: products are designed and tested against Australian conditions and standards, stock and replacement parts are broadly available through trade channels, and many commercial buildings already have Lockwood hardware installed — which matters when retrofitting access control onto an existing mechanically-secured door rather than replacing the hardware outright.
