IDIS

IDIS was founded in 1997 near Seoul, South Korea, where it still has its headquarters and manufacturing, and describes itself as South Korea's largest video surveillance manufacturer, working through more than 100 strategic partners across 50 countries. It designs and makes its own cameras, NVRs and DVRs around its DirectIP framework: IDIS IP cameras and NVRs authenticate each other automatically over PoE, which IDIS describes as zero-configuration, plug-and-play installation without the network setup standard IP systems usually need. For integrators that means faster commissioning, while ONVIF support keeps third-party cameras usable on mixed-brand sites.

On the software side, the range runs from IDIS Center, a free, licence-free VMS for smaller sites, up to IDIS Solution Suite for large and multi-site deployments, with IDIS Cloud Manager for cloud-based site management. IDIS Deep Learning Analytics adds object classification plus intrusion and loitering detection under a one-off licence with no annual fee. For government and regulated projects, IDIS states its products meet NDAA and TAA requirements and FIPS 140-3, alongside ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. Its H.265 DirectIP NVRs carry a standard warranty of five years and three months, and IDIS products are distributed in Australia through Dicker Data.
