Hanwha Vision's lineage runs from Samsung Techwin (1977) through Hanwha Techwin, after Hanwha Group's 2014 acquisition, to its current identity, adopted in 2023 to signal a move beyond traditional CCTV into broader AI-driven video and business insight. The core hardware is a wide range of network cameras — fixed, PTZ, multi-sensor and thermal — paired with on-camera object detection and perimeter analytics, plus centralised management software for multi-site estates.
For integrators, Hanwha's differentiators are deep in-house chip and sensor engineering, a legacy of its Samsung Techwin electronics heritage, and a stated push into cloud-connected and thermal-imaging product lines. The company controls its own image-processing pipeline end to end, which matters for technicians troubleshooting firmware or low-light performance.
