C•CURE 9000 and C•CURE IQ

C•CURE 9000 is the access control and event management system. C•CURE IQ, included in the standard licence, puts it in a web browser and adds video, incident handling and dashboards, so operators can work from any desk.

iSTAR G2 controllers

The second generation of iSTAR controllers is hardened for enterprise and government sites. Readers talk to them over the OSDP secure channel, the network link uses TLS 1.3, and each holds its own database of up to a million cardholders.

  • iSTAR Ultra G2 for up to 32 readers, with an SE model for retrofits
  • iSTAR Edge G2 for up to eight doors at a smaller site
  • IP-ACM v2 puts one door and two readers on the network near the door
  • RM and OSDP boards run doors up to 1,200 m from the controller

Incident management in C•CURE IQ turns events into steps for the operator to follow, and Security Intelligence ranks alarms so the few that need someone rise to the top. Dashboards show trends such as which doors alarm most often.

C•CURE IQ has its own video management, and C•CURE 9000 works with American Dynamics and Exacq recorders out of the box. Illustra cameras add analytics such as loitering, objects left behind, crowds forming and wrong-way movement.

C•CURE Portal lets hosts register guests in advance and lets guests sign themselves in. Each visitor gets a temporary credential that only works where and when it should, and every visit stays in the audit trail.

Access requests without the paperwork

Roll call in your hand

The C•CURE Go Reader turns an Android handheld into a reader. Wardens use it for roll call at evacuation points, guards for checks at gates and remote areas, and it keeps working offline and syncs when back in range.

Power you can see

Network-managed PSX power supplies report straight into C•CURE 9000, so a failing battery or lost mains shows up as an event on the operator’s screen instead of being found when a door will not lock.

What Teracom does on a C•CURE job

  1. Design

    Doors, controllers and readers planned from the door schedule, with server size, cloud or on-site hosting and video links worked out before anything is ordered.

  2. Install and commission

    iSTAR controllers, door boards, readers and power installed and wired, clearances and schedules programmed, and every door tested before handover.

  3. Connect to monitoring

    Door and alarm events can come through to our monitoring centre for after-hours response.

  4. Look after it

    Software updates, controller firmware, licence renewals and health checks handled on a maintenance plan, so the system stays current and supported.

C•CURE 9000 is Software House's flagship access control and security-event-management platform, now part of Johnson Controls. Built on a distributed architecture using iSTAR intelligent door controllers, it scales from a single server managing a handful of doors to an enterprise deployment supporting thousands of readers across a global, multi-server network. For integrators, the appeal is its open-integration model: native support for Johnson Controls' own video lines alongside more than 300 third-party technology partners, meaning C•CURE rarely locks a site into a single-vendor ecosystem.

Newer additions — C•CURE IQ for unified web-based management and C•CURE Go for mobile monitoring — extend the platform without forcing a rip-and-replace of existing controller hardware, which matters on long-lived commercial and government installations. Note for context: C•CURE is a product line of Software House, a Johnson Controls brand — there is no separate "C•CURE" corporate logo, so the Software House mark is used here.
